M.C. Escher failed the second grade. But that didn't stop him from later creating some of the most well known surreal drawings and woodcuts still appreciated the world over. We know he was a pianist and a master at creating complex mathmatically-driven drawings but I doubt he was a hot rodder. But if his famous 1935 "Hand and Reflecting Glass" self portrait were drawn from the inside of a garage I'd like to think it would have looked somewhat like this BOMONSTER "Self Reflection" scratched art masterpiece.

Hey guy's, here's my next project for the next month or two! This is my line drawing concept of the xray or cutaway of a 57 Nomad smashing into a tree. The final piece of art will be about 3ft x 5ft on wood most likely with more detail with the motor and mechanics,, and the anatomy of a driver getting mangled. Hope you guys dig it... I'm really siked to get the big version moving!.. Ohh and here's a fun photochop I did of my version of the Deora... El Deoro?

  8. All played well!..

Hell Nate- awesome Go-mad. Look at that small block, all askew. Waiting to see the (ex)driver..

I've got this roughy. Very Happy with this proportionally ( it's an aussie ute body), as both drawing and concept.

A jaunty lil' Y-block run-about; I'd like to build this.

OK, first time posting- this is some work by my best friend (diggitydog). He is a pretty humble guy and isn't one to post his own stuff, but I had some pix of his latest (first) helmet for a Wisconsin sprint car heavy and I figured I'd get his stuff out there for the first time. Whadya think?

Crappy cellphone picture of a painting in progress. 3ft x 4ft in oil. Still quite a bit left to do on it.

Heres my latest hand made skratchboard. It is 11"x14". After I was done with this one I think it would've been easier to just do it in black ink on paper, but what fun would that be. Just got a few prints made for TorqueFest. I thought I would post this on the way out the door to head up there. If anyone is going, make sure to stop by my art booth and say hello! Thanks for looking, Nate Grice

This one was "commissioned" by a little girl whose grandfather has cancer. She said he liked dragonflies.

This one was for a lady to give to her mother. There are 8 women in the family. Therefore, 8 "heart" flowers.

Interesting show this week. Gotta say I love the m.c. escher rat too.

Here's one I just finished up this week. 64x30" Oil on canvas.
I am also re-posting the first of the "Steel Life" paintings I'm doing. (garage spin-off of those traditional oil still lifes with grapes, cloth, goblet, etc...)
I have prints available of it now if anyones interested.

Incredible stuff so far! I would love to have a car that looks just like that green Ford Vicky in the poster above, or the girl in the bikini with the '56 Chevy drag car.

Here are some more from Lone Star - I hope you are not bored of them yet.

Slim - I love these - do you have more on line somewhere?
    Thanks,
    Dan
