Ok, getting closer to tacking the pieces! However, before I get started I have more questions for the experts. These are just notes and will be arraigned first to last later. 1) I plan to cut out the corner and put in a new piece that will close the gap in the first picture. I will do that on the bench to make my life easier. 2) in picture 2 you can see the two nicks I made in the brace (there is also one behind the toe board that has to get zapped and dressed to). So I will weld them up first before the pans go in. 3) when the toe board is in so that it won’t move I will finish the floor pan since everything hinges on the toe board placement. In the last picture where the dotted lines are I am thinking I need to trim the pan down and make an ‘L’ shaped piece to insert between the pan and the tunnel. Is this a good plan/idea? 4) I have some spot weld holes that I need to fill in after drilling them out. I think the repair is this: grind away any rust/primer down to clean metal. Spot weld the holes closed. Grind smooth and then apply spray ‘weld through primer’. Put pan on top and spot weld it in. Is this correct? 5) apply weld through primer on all lap joints prior to spot welding them in. And then brush on seam sealer. Do these all sound correct as far how they should get done? I think I am down to prepping the toe board for welding now.
