Filing for a Title in Texas?

Ok here's the deal, I currently am building a 1950 Chevy pick-up and have the VIN tag but no title, what is the next step in getting a title for the truck?

Bonded title, safest way to go if you got a vin. I use Lawrence Auto Title out of Taylor, TX 800 352 2788, [email protected]. Ken Lawrence retired from DMV, knows what he is doing.
Broadway, other out of state services that you sign a bill of sale to them then you get a registeration form from New York or somewhere scare me.
