I know, it's my car and I should do what makes me happy, but I am torn on whether to run fenders and bumpers or not. The fenders and bumpers are in pretty good shape (not perfect by any means) but I also love fenderless hot rods. I am going to run 15" steelies and wide whites which may look small in those large wheelwells. (or may not as I don't have the tires mounted yet) Let me hear some opinions!
I'd leave the fenders. Since you already got em. Or if you wanna ditch them than you could sell them for a few bucks to go towards other parts. Either way sweet ride!
being a 4door , its not one that lends to no fenders . not saying it wont work , but even tudors do really like no fenders . it a roadster thing i think .... steve
Big sedan like that needs fenders..JMO I even think the Ford Tudors look better with fenders..but , thats just how i roll
Four doors and Fenders are made for each other. Leave the bumpers if you got 'em too. Then screw it all down to the ground and make the tires just right in the weheel wells and you'll have it done. Cool car. Tim
If you do go fenderless, keep your options and fenders where you can go both ways (no sexual connotations meant).
Thank you for the replies! I trust the opinions of HAMBers and agree the 4-door sedan may be a bit large for the fenderless look and since I have 'em I might as well use 'em!
Keep the fenders, they just look too cool. They also look real straight, it would be a shame not to keep them.
You are right Cleatus, It would look very "boxy" without them. This car is quite a bit larger than a Model 'A' sedan!
Looks like its a solid vote for fenders..I agree too, Plus its a whole car so very cool to keep it all intack!
Its all a matter of opinion and my opinion is leave them on, sedans look stupid with the fenders off. It would look like a salvage vehicle.
I'm with ODDROD46. Traditional look = Fenders On, Hot Rod = Fenders Off. Or how about another angle - Fenders On = Protect the Paint, Fenders Off = Lots of Nicks & Scratches. Like you said, Your Car - Your Decission. Good Luck!
