** Famous Custom Pickups... which was your favorite?

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by Dustyoldbodyman, Jan 4, 2008.

  1. Here we go folks...
I thought it would be fun to hear which of the great custom pickups you all like. I think they can be from the old days or if there is a current one you like. Which one really got your attention? Why?
Lets see some pics!! (art or photo)
    I like the kopper Kart...:D:D:D

and this one: classic stance and just a clean example of this era F100.

One of my all time favorites. Not gaudy but very tasteful. IMHO

When I saw "Custom Pickups", this one came to mind. Valley Custom build, picture from Rikster's website:

Ala Kart gets my vote, but that gold 40 is also pretty damn nice. I think it's perfect as is. I have also always been a fan of 53-56 ford trucks with that Chrysler grill, canted headlites and lots of metal-flake Gary

There was a custom 35/36 Ford pickup that was built using 40 Ford rear fenders. I think it was Gene Winfield and he advertised his shop on it. I have pics but no way of scanning it.

I like the "Wild Kat" when I pick an old kustom but a new kustom would have to be Tony Farnetti's '50 Study P/U.
