When did Ford discontinue including tools with new cars?

The kit got a bit smaller in 1936-38 with tire pump and grease gun taken out, because gas stations were becoming much more common and fewer car owners were doing strenuous work that was cheap at the station. The wrenches and screwdriver remained, and the removed tools could be added back into the kit if requested. The basic kit remained through '48. I think after that cars only got a lug wrench and jack.
My '48 was an export car and got the full set as in pre-1936.
I'm guessing that the Lincoln kit mentioned above was an accessory or perhaps part of an upgrade package, possibly meant as an answer to the nifty kit in BMW decklids, not routine OEM as in a '48 Lincoln.
