I've seen several use 49-50 shoebox hinges... you can get those new from Mac's antiques or drake or any of the other stock ford companies.

I've used Heavy Healy a couple of times. The extra length over shoebox hinges is in good proportion.

What are Heavy Healys and where can I get them?

  7. Try a place that sells boat hardware. You can get some nice stainless hinges.
