I just thought I would share with you great folk the fact that we enjoy tubing every now and then! Here is a short "teaser" on what some of you have been waiting for...Pop's Rpu frame..... We ( my dad and I, nine years ago built this frame and the hairpins), our friends Boyd Singer and Dave Gale built the rear suspension. This truck has been in the mind of my father for well over ten years, it's coming...

Its getting there... right on schedule right ;)

Its a true testament to your father to know that he can start a frame, chassis, and car build 10 years ago, and have it get finished present time, and its still inovative, and fresh.

I must admit I'm not a fan of swiss cheese frames but I do get off on details. Many would wonder why all the trouble- it won't be seen but I have to admit.......................................

    That is killer!:D

  7. Nice!

Sounds like the intro to a horror movie though......
'For ten years its been lurking in the minds of its creators. But now, its comming.......'

That works better with a cheesy Hollywood voice over.

    Doc.

  8. It's still purty... and you will be able to see it on this one.

Looks Great! Glad to hear it's coming along. I see you got Shuten laying some stripes on the undercarriage.

Did you end up leaving the underside bare with a clearcoat like you wanted to or is it painted?

It's painted Gus, flush mounted plates don't lend themselves well to powder/paint....We split the paint... In the sun the dark blue comes to life!!

Wow, that truly *IS* too nice to cover!

Wow I'd put that on the wall in my living room and stare at it every day. No joke.

    Just beautiful.

I like it. You don't see a lot of striping on a frame like that.

  23. If that picture is not "flipped" the steering arm blister on the passenger's side is covering up something interesting!

    That sure is perty there!

  25. That is a LOT of attention to detail right there. Always a treat to see that kind of craftsmanship.

It's not flipped. That blister is a cowl vent, there is an air box inside to direct the flow...

  27. Matt, Denny and Dave...a dynamic trio! Great to see paint on the chassis.
