Evapo rust on heads?

    Has anybody used evapo rust on a set of heads before? Did you get get results? Thanks

    I've used it on very thin sheetmetal,didn't seem to hurt the good metal. Your metal will flash rust as soon as you rinse it off. I just set the oven to 400,and finish drying my little stuff in it.

    Evaporust is fantastic. I've probably used 6-8 gallons of that stuff on all kinds of parts. Sheetmetal, cast steel parts like heads, hard to find pieces on my car, etc. If you rinse it off it will flash rust, but if you let it dry with a film of Evaporust on the part, it should last quite a while before any flash rust. You can get cheap plastic bins with lids from Target/Walmart, for a $5 - $10. They'll have some that will fit heads. Submerge the heads in Evaporust for a week if they are bad.
