Estate sale, Herbrand tool chest

I got this at an estate sale this morning. It looked like this after I started cleaning it up but I spent all afternoon cleaning it up and it sure doesnt look like this now.

 

I love estate sales, you never know what you will find. I especially like the ones where the person was a machinist for years and has all these neat tools that you never find anywhere else.

Yeah, I got a machinists box that looks like a Gerstner and as I was digging thru the cool old tools and cleaning it out I found a tool room receipt from 1950!

 

Cool find. So.....What does it look like now that you've cleaned it up?

 

I have the drawers out and it will take a LOT more cleaning up before new pictures

 

Cool find. Re: recipt, I have an old Snap On tool cabinet that I've had for many years and found a pay stub from 1948 in one of the drawers when I first got it. My girl friend DOES estate sales. Still waiting for that big score!

I'm almost surprised that no one has mentioned the stack of 1956 Cadillac Hubcaps to the right of the lid of the toolbox
