I know you asked for stock dash--hope these help. Someone added flip switches on the far left and added the 4 gages in the center of the dash. The big original gage set is out of its hole. I aint taking credit for that steenkin steering wheel/column.
heres the Monarch. on top is a piece of sheetmetal holding the 1906 patent plate and the on/off/reverse
Thanks for the pics of the dash. That gives me an idea. I will do a little research on that lathe. I have a 2-post lift that I need to get cleaned up and installed. Mine uses hydraulic cylinders and equalizing chains, it looks like yours may use screws to lift? Neal
Thanks for the dash pics. Now on a completely different subject, I found a little info on the old Monarch Lathe. As close as I can narrow it down is 1914-1923. Monarch first offered the 8-spd straight cut gear head in 1914 and then came out with the Helical gear head (like mine) in 1924. I have a few parts break down pages that would apply to your lathe. If intersted, I can copy and mail them to you. Neal
I will email you some ifo in the next few days. I was going to direct you to the Yahoo group, but I see you found it already. Neal
Bruce - I just emailed you a copy of a old Monarch manual. The last page (p. 33) has a parts list for the geared headstock, it looks just like yours. Hope it helps. Neal...inCA
