Elrustorod or Anyone - Pics of 39 Ford Truck Dash & Gauges??

    Thanks. I guess you saw I have manyollathes [​IMG] I do have some info on old Monarchs, what do you have? How about some pics of the lathe in question.

    I know you asked for stock dash--hope these help. Someone added flip switches on the far left and added the 4 gages in the center of the dash. The big original gage set is out of its hole. I aint taking credit for that steenkin steering wheel/column.

    other side..the top piece of the dash is off to repair the windshield crankout mechanism

    heres the Monarch. on top is a piece of sheetmetal holding the 1906 patent plate and the on/off/reverse

    Thanks for the pics of the dash. That gives me an idea.

    I will do a little research on that lathe.

    I have a 2-post lift that I need to get cleaned up and installed. Mine uses hydraulic cylinders and equalizing chains, it looks like yours may use screws to lift?

    Thanks for the dash pics.

    Now on a completely different subject, I found a little info on the old Monarch Lathe. As close as I can narrow it down is 1914-1923. Monarch first offered the 8-spd straight cut gear head in 1914 and then came out with the Helical gear head (like mine) in 1924. I have a few parts break down pages that would apply to your lathe. If intersted, I can copy and mail them to you.

    Bruce -

    I just emailed you a copy of a old Monarch manual. The last page (p. 33) has a parts list for the geared headstock, it looks just like yours.
