I have a edelbrock 1406 carb with a electric choke .My question is I hooked it up to a keyed power source as stated in the instructions and its on when on access or ignition is on . The choke seems to get really hot if I am just sitting in car listening to radio and the choke gets hot the whole time .It does not melt or anything but gets almost too hot to touch .I am not sure if this is normal or if there is something I did wrong in the way I hooked it up.It does not get damged so I awas thinking it might be normal but want to make sure.
I also grounded it to the housing of the choke adjust screws as stated in instructions .

Should be fine the heat is what shuts the choke off so it is normal to be hot.Try using acc. for the radio.
