both my cars have a 600 cfm edelbrock carburetor with
electric choke. each one is on a 350 chevy.after running them now for a couple of years, every time i try to adjust the idle mixture screw on the drivers side,it doesn't seem to make a difference, doesn't "stumble down" or anything.this is on both cars!! i tried choke cleaner on that side, inserted the screw back in,but doesn't seem to make a difference.anyone have this problem or know if it's common?thanks for any help.

The Edelbrocks are sensitive for float levels and fuel pressure. The pressure shouldn´t exeed 5,5-6psi and the float level ought to be 7/16" I think. Chances are your carbs are slightly flooding . That´s what I´d check but I´m no expert...

Just had that happen on my Dodge. I could see gas dripping into the venturi on one side at idle. Turned out to be a high float level on that side, set it down about 1/8" and now it adjusts just fine. I wonder why that float changed......

  4. sounds like excessive fuel psi. call edelbrock and ask them.
