  3. My C4B looks to be the "passenger-side" variant with uneven runners and without coil bosses.

My C3BX appears to be identical to @Moriarity 's sporting driver's side fill, uneven runners and coil bosses. No 3bbl cutout though....

Both, unlike @Moriarity 's and others, are filthy and unused! Need to fix both! ;)

I think Edelbrock reused the C4B molds for some of the new C3B's, they didn't have to change much though just the Carb mount & Intake opening, which gave them there new C3B (this is just my opinion) The big changes came to the C3BX.
The front Oil Tube was changed from left to right & middle, I think it's bcuz of the different Chevrolet Vehicle's, the Radiators Top Coolant Hose came in different angles, some had open other's closed PCV systems, different Caps on the Oil Fill Tube, some had Closed Caps, other's had Oil Fill Tube's with the Big Open Breather Cap.
Some of the C3B's & C3BX's had the two threaded mounting bosses next two the Carb on the driverside, maybe for a EGR bracket or Carburetor Linkage Bracket, I'm not sure what they were used for, maybe y'all might know??

    ^^^^
I always thought the bosses on the drivers side of the carb were for the big AC compressor bracket from the 70s. My C3BX has them.

I believe the 1st Edelbrock C3BX picture, like this type with the big long upper runners coming from the driverside then going towards the passenger side head is a Miss Labeled Edelbrock Manifold. EDELBROCK C3BX -A.jpg 20241221_165300.jpg
The 2nd picture of the Edelbrock C3BX Intake Manifold is the correct C3BX, all the Adds in the Hot Rod Mags (1965-7?) of the day have pictures of the New Edelbrock C3BX & they all look like this 2nd Eddy C3BX picture. With several locations for the Oil Fill Tube & Thermostat Housing being the biggest difference only bcuz different vehicles "Chevy's" had the Upper Radiator Hose Neck located to the right, center & the left side of the Radiator Top Tank, and other small area's like the Coil Mounts, Choke Heat Mount, AC Mount, Two Sets if Carb Mounts & the Change Edelbrock made on the inside of the C3B's Intake Runners to make the New & Improved Eddy C3BX.
Edelbrock employees in the past might have been using what they had for sand molds and made a few thousand like the 1st picture. Who really knows for sure, but maybe hoping nobody would notice back then, but we notice now the many different changes in all the C4B's, C3B's and the C3BX's, bcuz of all the help HAMB Members & others who have shared pictures of their Edelbrock Intake Manifolds is why we know now.

Here is my C3B going in my wife's 1950 Jeepster. It's the same engine in both photos. I was trying to figure out which rocker covers to use.

Fun fact, 4 years ago, my wife an I bought a few acres in the Hill Country to build our home. There was/is an old dilapidated building built from old plywood street signs that was filled with junk. I found a bunch of cool parts in the junk. I found this C3B manifold, a Weiand dual quad intake with a pair of Carter carbs, a dozen os so Holley 4 barrels and a cool old Dash mounted tach.
