Cool shot of Eddie Schartman in the Dyno Don 62.Check inner headlites for air intakes and the popped rear of the hood, that was popular back then.

Bucksnort, Thanks for getting this thread started... I am just getting back on line after not being on for a week with computer problems. Although the computer is working again , the scanners is not. Once I get that all sorted out, I will start scanning up some EDN from my collection to contribute.

    Sure thing,Church Key,
A lot of why I started this thread is getting that feeling back when you were at the drags every weekend back then and couldn't wait to pick up EDN and read it cover to cover.
Got a bunch to scan yet,'64-'65,two of my most favorite years at the drags.
Would love to see your collection.

Sorry if some posts are bigger than others.I'm still trying to figure this stuff out.Going through photobucket and am resizing.Sometimes I gotta use different sizes for different pages.Trying to make them fit without scrolling but figure I'll err on the big size because the text is easier to see not to mention the cars.

No need to apologize, you'll get it figured out. Maybe a little higher resolution for the scans?
Thanks for posting these, I'm glad to see them ... great week-by-week history here. Drag racing history wasn't just who won at the national meets. ;-)

  28. Gaines and Marino...Swecker...Coleman bros...Bub Reese...East Coast LEGENDS of the early days...

Forkner was always a heavy hitter....he could make small cube motors SCREAM on fuel in the early days...and was a SEMA certified chassis builder twoards the end of the front engine years.... We have his last front motored car that ran a late model that he built and piloted.... It was ran as an injected fueler with a 2 speed after Forker sold it to a team in jersey.... virtually untouched...
