On my 38 Standard coupe, which was an original "hot rod" from we believe the late 40's early 50's..it has Champion Cast Heads, I believe Fenton Headers, and my question is about Edmond Headers: I have spoken with a few knowledgeable guys about my intake:
It is aluminum (on m 59a block)...it is Edmond, and the additional lettering, which
appears like it was hand-applied after the word EDMOND..says "C U S T O M. I was advised that his wife apparently applied inscriptions on the headers, by hand, which
this appears to be. It has about a 4" rise. Can anyone share any additional information
to confirm what I've heard about them? Would appreciate it. Thanks, Old Fred

The word Custom, on an Edmunds intake would have been put there by the factory.

Not hand inscribed. It’s the same on a whole lot of Edmunds intakes and heads.
