With the blunt nose, the louvers in the body panel and
the weed burner headers, I'm thinking this is an early
    edition of the Greek's Chizler.

    Hello,
The Speed Sport Modified Roadster is/was famous for its looks, build, race records, results and that outstanding sound. But, before the team of Lyle Fisher, Don Maynard and Red Greth built and raced the Orange Speed Sport Roadster, they were getting good results with a long and lean, modified Flathead dragster.

Then as designs come and go, they built the now famous Orange Speed Sport rear engine roadster that set the drag racing world on fire.

By the time my brother and I saw the second version of the Speed Sport Roadster at Riverside Raceway in December of 1959, it was faster and was competitive with many FED race cars.

Oh yeah, the infamous belly button shot, a popular issue with us young guys back then. Flesh for fantasy...(Mr.Idol)
And look at those polished Americans, whoever designed those wheels deserves a sainthood and their face on $100 bills for all time.

That's called a "dead perch". He probably borrowed that from period circle track racers. Pretty common. Reduces bump steer and eliminates the need for a Panard Bar.
