Is Ted the founder's grandson and who owns the company today?

Yes Ted Dzus is the owners grandson, last I saw he had a yellow merc. I believe they sold the company many years ago.The factory is still there but the ground is contaminated.Gary the Chevette was brown, and called Plain Brown Wrapper.

Let's not forget the folks who designed, built or maintained aircraft, too. I'd bet some of them were also hot rodders. And if they worked at places like Convair or Grumman they were probably taking trick stuff home in their empty lunch boxes to use on their cars long before any returning war vets had a chance to use them (ANs, tie rod ends, safety wire, plexiglass, Dzus, wiring / connectors, etc.). And all that post war surplus stuff sure must have been helpful! Gary

I used some Dzus fasteners to replace the crappy hold downs on my Airstream front window protector. Posted over on the Airforums and I know several other owners switched to Dzus.
