The quick answer seems to be sometime around '35, as they were originally intended to fit '35 and '36 roadsters. If memory serves correct, the So-Cal Plating "delivery" usedthe prototype.
The Spencer roadster was built a bit later, I honestly can't remember if it was just barely pre war or post. But he started on the So-Cal plating Delivery whn the first crop of '35's came out and finished it just after the introduction of the '36s, so kinda take your pick on a date, but somewhere in there.
