  3. Are those some kind of bug screens you have?
Have you road tested the car without them or any other air filters?

Road tested with and without. Got it up to 70mph today. That was pretty much it and was interesting dodging kangaroos on a single lane country road! Then took my mates 30 roadster with a 59AB on same route and was pretty much matched for speed and acceleration.

I think it is all good but I think I am maybe expecting a bit much of the little 21 stud after having a built merc motor with triple carbs behind a t5. I certainly don't have the acceleration I am used too.

Plus it sucks being back here in Australia and requiring mufflers. I also was used to the open pipes I had in Cali.

  5. Did you see the recent post with manifold comparisons on a dyno?

Yeah saw that. I'll persevere with the PM7 and might start on my 24 stud for a back up when I want to go faster but it seems fine for now

Ran a 21 bolt in my heavy coupe for quite a few years before changing to an 8ba with a Thickstun. The acceleration was much different. Great looking car.

  8. I'm going with a plugged exhaust theory.
Drop the front pipe ( or remove the headers ) and give it a road test.
