Anyone done this swap and can provide what M/C works well? 64 F100 shortbed with the original drums- brakes work fine, just looking for a dual pot for safety. It has a fresh single pot on it, but you know... I'm thinking maybe 67-70 Mustang drum/drum, or ?

  2. The mustang and the F100 both have a 1 inch bore so it should work OK. Check and make sure you can get full stroke on the master cylinder though. If you do loose pressure on the front or back at some point, without full stroke you may not have braking power on the other end.

Yeah, the brakes are similar size, and somewhere around here I have the distribution plumbing for the M/C from a 69 I parted out, would make it a lot easier

When I looked for a M/C I discovered the last year that the Ford F-100 had non-power disc / drum setup was 1977. So any prior year M/C for a disc / drum non-power application might work.

Might have gotten lucky today, helping my friend I got the pickup from, found a new dual M/C and power booster that they didn't use on their '66. Also found a boxful of dual M/C brake lines and new lines of different lengths- nice little stash

Did my Buds’66 many years ago , power steering , power brake booster and MC all from 75 4x2 f150 . They fit as if Henry planned it to work .
