Hi, I have 2 carbs Holley 4 bbl on a Offenhauser intake. How much fuel pressure should I maintain ? Thanks for your feedback. Nicolas
It depends on your line size. It also depends on how high of RPM you might be often turning... The rule is, 7 to 9 psi.... If your runnin 3/8ths line back to front, and turning consistantly over 6000 rpms, you will be on the high side, perhaps 9 1/2 even, and you will still suck the bowls dry. If its a street car, for show, and a ocassional stomp, then 6 1/2 to 7 or so will be fine. On my 1/4 mile car, I run 3/4 from tank to pump, 1/2 to regulator, and 3/8 to each float bowl, I have my regulator set at 9 1/2 psi. My pump is 280 an hour, and at 7400 rpms the fuel guage reads 5 1/2 psi....(my application used as an example)
Holley's techs told me to keep it down around 6 lbs. I run mine at 5 lbs. and never have any problems.
