Looking for suggestions on an axle to add 2" of drop over stock (6" total) for a 31 Chevy Coupe. Car has Mustang II rack welded to stock axle. Not sure if that should be changed too? Any help appreciated.

these guys can hook ya up.

the rack on a straight axle can be tricky on the steering linkage.
I personally prefer a steering box.

Shouldn't be an issue if the rack is on the axle. It becomes a huge issue if some idiot mounted the rack separately from the axle on the frame.

  4. Yep.
I have seen some scary steering shaft stuff on these set ups.
They look odd to me for some reason. I guess it’s because a Vega box is so simple.
