Looking for suggestions on an axle to add 2" of drop over stock (6" total) for a 31 Chevy Coupe. Car has Mustang II rack welded to stock axle. Not sure if that should be changed too? Any help appreciated.
https://droppedaxles.com/ these guys can hook ya up. the rack on a straight axle can be tricky on the steering linkage. I personally prefer a steering box.
Shouldn't be an issue if the rack is on the axle. It becomes a huge issue if some idiot mounted the rack separately from the axle on the frame.
Yep. I have seen some scary steering shaft stuff on these set ups. They look odd to me for some reason. I guess it’s because a Vega box is so simple.
