I have 3X2s on a 350 Chevy. They run great but I am having problems with the rear carb dripping at the boosters when I shut the engine off. Any ideas? I checked the float level and it is correct. Thanks in advance!
This link should explain the issue: http://www.thecarburetorshop.com/Troubleshooting.htm#Fuelleak Jon.
I understand what they are saying but my other two carbs don't drip. I think I have an issue in the carb.
When you have three carburetors, and too much line pressure; chances are that one carb will withstand a little less pressure than the other two. This carb will leak off the pressure, and the other carbs won't leak. If you want to prove this, remove the top from the leaky carburetor and lower the float in this carb by 1/8 inch. Put it back together, start it up, and watch the leak be transferred to one of the other two. We see this all the time with factory units and a factory 4-way fitting. The carburetor closest to the 4-way will generally be the one that leaks. Jon.
all good advice from other helpers here... also two can be in better shape as one is obviously NOT cooperating
