I followed this thread and can only drool over how it turned out.I am speechless and as my GF said.."YOUR speechless..?!?? The way YOU run your mouth..??!?!?"Anyway I was wondering if i can get some help on some measurements on your frame...You can see in the drawings where I need them.I need to know what angle the kick-up is set at.Also need to know how high you made it.

I'm proud to say, I rode shotgun in Paul's coupe, even if it was only for a few minutes.

Man I felt like I wimped out on ya. I wished I coulda grabbed you for the ride back to the shop. THAT was crazy..:D

    The only measurments I remember:

    Wheelbase: 106.5"

    Front sweep: 4"

Rear kickup: 12" (spring on top)

    Rear kickup angle: 45*

From the rear cross member to where the frame starts to turn down is about 8"

Ground clearance is low but not ridiculous. It actually hasnt dragged or scraped or anything like that..

    Paul,

It was cool meeting and BSing with you yesterday. Obviously I found your build thread. I'm only on page 10 so far, but I had to chime in and tell you congrats....on the car and the wedding! This has been a great read so far and I'm looking forward to the rest of it. I already know the car came out bad ass!!

LOVE those pics of Norm's '32s. I met Norm a couple months ago when I bought my front axle assembly from him. Such a cool dude and way nice! But I can top your claim of having never been in a '32 and only ridden in two A's. I've never ridden or even sat in an A, much less a '32! I'm probably the only one on the HAMB who can make such a claim.

Hopefully sometime soon I'll also know the feeling of firing up my hoopty and driving it around terrorizing the 'hood. :D

First round's on me next time at the Dog 'n Duck....

    Tommy

I noticed in the pictures that you moved your steering box. Were there problems when you drove the car with it the way you had it in the beginning?

  27. Best regards from Argentina congratulations for your marriage, since last i became a member of HAMB, always appreciated the hard work each member puts in their projects and how they do in their garages, it is very difficult to realize, but really rewarding .
