Big promo for the NHRA, cool period piece, nice rod. The Square Wheels Club, not a yoyo in the club! The Big Hot Rod
Wally looked a little different in 1954. Thought that was Michael Ansara,an early role for the future TV star "Cochise" and the envy of every guy by marrying Barbara Eden. Those Dragnet shows crack me up. Liked the line by Joe"When searching the room we looked in the wastebasket that the suspect used to dispose of things he did not want" Hilarious.
The only thing Joe Friday never said was "Just the fact's mam". Interesting in 1954 Wally used TV to promote the "good side" of rodding. Maybe he should have said, "you meet the nicest people in a jalopy?"
my first time to see that one, but as a kid that was a show that i watched with my grandfather. thanks for sharing.
Pretty cool. the 30 min show was 26 min in length . Now 30 min shows are 18 min once you run though the commercials .
Yeah, I can remember when you actually WANTED a commercial break, so you could run to the bathroom without missing any of the show.
