History Drag wheels ???

    Magnesium American Racing 15" 12 spokes.
     
  3. Once used on altereds, now called 'gasser' wheels. Well, the modern 5 bolt versions are.:rolleyes:

    They might be Palamides wheels. Romeo Palamides produced that magnesium wheel, along with others, before he sold the rights to someone else. That guy started the American Wheel Company.
    I don’t know if there is a way to positively ID a Palamides wheel, any markings cast onto them?

    The early one's in fact did say palamides cast on the inside spoke...

    Mine have "American Racing" cast into one spoke, "Series 300" into another and "San Francisco USA" in another. No idea if they were all like that. Never saw a Palamedies up close.

    Thanks guys. I still haven’t got to look at them in person yet. Guy said he had a narrowed axle that goes with them so hopefully this week I can really figure something out
