Loudbang, you found another one of the "205" BB/A. Same car as in my story above.

Very cool and I thank you.

Thought it was the same one but wasn't sure but there probably weren't too many front drives around.

Huge? That is an understatement. The driver is working that ride hard, he looks very determined.

    Great shot.

    Hey Off,
Those lightweight roadsters with huge motors certainly were a handful. When I took these movie clips, Junior Thompson drove the Jim Cassidy, Hemi powered, street roadster. Watch his hands on the wheel. That Hemi motor, as usual, provided a ton of power and for that reason, they won a lot of trophies in this class.

But, it reminded me of all little kids with their hands on those cool, play steering wheels for car seats...back and forth, back and forth...

That "legal" street roadster would have been fun to drive on the street in our neighborhood! The sound and power was a fabulous combination. The handling? That would be another story.

Nice red wheels...whitewalls included... pure late 50's street roadster.

  11. Junji, The Cassidy roadster was fast, over 130, but not that quick. When I held the 1320 B/SR record at 11.29, their AA/SR record was 11.30. The 3 speed LaSalle trans took time to shift. That car really needed a Hydro.

From 296 ardun, January 2015--DCIM thread: "Raymond Godman's Tennessee Bo-weevil...Raymond was shot in the back by a sniper in Korea, but that never got in the way of his ability to create really fast competitive cars...this one ran a blown Chrysler on gas, T body on a Chassis Research Chassis.

What year did the street roadster class mandate stock style fenders instead of cycle fenders...this is at least 67

John English formerly ran a flathead in this car but it is seen here in its final configuration with a big block Ford. The photo is from Calder Park, just west of Melbourne, Australia. The car in the far lane is Vic Muirhead's Bounty Hunter with builder Ian Splatt at the wheel and the configuration of that car indicates that this photo is from about 1971
