    Not really.
Laura & I had a fucking BLAST this weekend despite a couple of technical difficulties.
I was shootin to dip into the 10's this year but I broke shit instead. Well, I didn't really break, I just learned that #1206 intake gaskets don't take too highly to lotsa BOOOOST.
Launching @ 4500 found me an 11.24 et.
So, I ran the revs higher the next go round & missed a shift, dropped two cyls. due to the now absent intake gasket pieces, & limped back to the pits w/ an 11.96.

Thanks to my buddies though, we tore the thing apart & got her whole again. Faced w/ the possibility of doing it again, I pussied out & opted for
the less risky option of driving back to the hotel.

I think this is a fine time to thank those who helped me to overcome ,my bad automotive ju-ju:

DamnittDave, Luxblue, Slick50, Z-man & Iowa Joe for technical assistance.

Iowa Aiden, Doyle Perkins & Reggie for keeping my head screwed on straight.

    8th Grade Genius for PARTS!!!

Bell M, the Dirtys, & an anonymous hamb dragster guy for glue.

    BobK for shade during repairs.

Buzzard, Kerry, FlamedAbone, & TrailerED, Nate, & the entire Bierman crew for moral support.

Von Franco for the fancy lid.

Ryan & Marcie for putting on such a fine event.

Erik Anderson for the wheelie pic!

And finally, My wife Laura & our best freind Joyce for putting up w/ my shit.:D

Thanks ya'll, you guys fuckin rule!

David, that pic looks photoshopped. No way that slug could pull the wheels.

JK, hahaha bad ass dude, wish I was there this year! What kind of MPH did you net with the 11.24? Sounds like some tweaks and you're in the 10's!

Yeah, she IS heavy indeed! 2705 lbs. in fact. Most of it in the front :D
    The time slip reads:
    reaction .2866

    60 ft. 1455

    1/8 7.08 @ 95.26

    1/4 11.2461 @ 117.43

    I ran 11.04 @ little river @ 124 or so. Guess I gotta fiddle w/ it some I suppose.

D.W you are very welcome my friend

Me and my son (Ryder) really enjoyed watching the thrashing, I would have bet by the looks of it you had qualified for the next round in Top Fuel Dragster and had 30 minutes to get it back together.

Very nice work indeed. I really loved the hard launches.

  27. Dude you need the improved Fel-Pros. I had bitched for years to the tech people at F-Pro. They now have a gasket # 1206S-3. Same as the old ones but with a steel core that won't leak>>>>.I went back and watched the video. Wow bad fast>>>>.

These killer pics and such just remind me how much I hate that I missed all the excitement this weekend, but I gotta say that Joyce apparently had enough fun for both of us. Thanks for being there to help get her and the pickup back here safe/sound... you guys rule.

Baddest car in Austin... coolest folks in Austin.
