That is the Burnett, Malland, and McKenzie Twin - very similar but a different car.

    Hello,
Thanks to @ttwomotor for having noticed the incorrect information and to clarify the posting. Sometimes it takes a moment to do some research and know the information, before posting. A big historic file of old drag racing photos and information from http://twotogo.homestead.com/ also helps clarify some information, too.

The overall set up looks similar, but the first time I saw the original back in 1959-60, it was something that just sticks into the old brain. Then in 2017 & 2019 it was presented at the Lions Dragstrip Museum openings in all of its glory.

The wider roll bar is definitely not the same. The angles are much different. Curves vs no curves, etc.

Looking closely at this picture, that's a clean Willys going together. Anyone know who it was and what the car looked like all together?

I would bet that the engines are separated and are setting on floor jacks to service the clutch the reason I suspect that is I had to do the same thing to my digger at meltdown a few years ago when I blew the center out of the clutch disc

I think this is the Quincy Automotive car, the forerunner to the Freight Train.

This is the Nye Frank/John Peters twin, before it became the "Freight Train"

    Mmm, possibly
It would be unlikely that both engines would be sitting at the same angle as they are sitting in the frame, though there does seem to be a long distance between the back engine and the body..!?

Ya, but . . . how's the back engine lined up with the rear end at this angle. I vote for a clutch job.

I can't remember the chassis builder who did the right hand steer cars, I'll check. Lippy
