TOMMYD, great pictures, I've said it often on here that I really love the 60's full size muscle cars.

"Arlington 4/14/1968 C/Gas Unstopable All Day" I've heard rumors this car survives in pretty much this condition to this day. Neato!

"5-19-68 Arlington Blonde lady owner" I'd guess that "Blonde lady" would be Carol Yenter who ran this car with husband Art. Bad Ass car, wonder what ever happened to it? And another oft repeated photo of that car for good measure also taken at Arlington.

  5. Family cars in motion, all built by my dad Jerry Lipori and his partner and driver Steve Malise at their Brooklyn, Speed & Machine shop in NY...Ingenue has been fully restored and is in cackle mode, the Gold Car is in the family fold awaiting restoration at some point, the Billy Lynch/Pat Foster nostalgia dragster has moved in and taken a major chunk of the funding allowance at this point, she'll be in cackle mode in a few weeks.

  6. Fat Al Riccio, and Joe Simone running out of New Britain, Connecticut. Joe later crashed a dragster, which I believe ran out of Don Gallant's speed shop, and chose not to drive again.

"Ford driver Bill Irland SS/C 11.90 - 12.00 1968" Remember I'm doing this stuff verbatim so there may be some corrections and this is one.

As stated early on these captioned photos are out of an old album a friend of mine loaned me so I could post here and plan on posting captions verbatim.

Mickey Thompson in left lane, here with Ardun power, racing Ed Losinski, with Chrysler power. Mickey would replace this crude body (with a Navy Corsair wing front for the opening) with a streamlined body when he got City of Panorama sponsorship. A Chrysler replaced the Ardun, before Mickey replaced it with a two-engine Chrysler car built from Manuel Coelho's dragster. Ed built his car originally with a flathead, but switched to a Chrysler, sometimes running Harry Duncan's 354"
