Hello, It is a sad thing to hear of anyone moving on to the next place in the timeline for all of us. As far as Drag Cars in Motion, here is a film clip of Ed Garlits' first visit to Lions Dragstrip in So Cal. It was one of those 1960 days where everyone wanted to get a clear view of the visitor from Florida. The term "Garlits at Lions" drew a lot of unsuspecting people, thinking they were going to see brother, Don Garlits. The crowds made me figure out a better location for the motion shots on my movie camera. Ed Garlits at Lions Dragstrip 1960 Since this location was actually off limits to the public, this film clip is one of the only ones in existence of the trip out west for Ed Garlits. The tower side location was empty, as I was partially camouflaged by my friend (Mr. Childers, the ambulance driver from Dilday Mortuary) in his white Pontiac Ambulance. https://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum...r-photographers.1054623/page-56#post-13468319 Jnaki Thanks for the cool shots and being present in 1960, for a couple of drag racing/hot rod teenagers to see some big time out of state racers.
