Kiwi Kev, Royalshifter. Thank you for reminding me of why I have "THE ADDICTION". These all have influenced what I do with my Drag Racing today.
Keep "em coming.
Was in motion at some point in time.......E.C.
Anyone have a picture in motion of this monster? Frank Pedregon's worlds quickest modified coupe...1510 lbs at 200 MPH...photo at Fresno Drags 1965
I know they are not moving but you have to agree this is an awesome photo.
That looks scary!
Great thread! I had the following couple images right in front of me (as I work on our site)
my buddy's pop racing b gas, he's moved to a gas I believe..
nothing fancy but I was working on the coverage for Antique Nationals..
p.s. Hey RoyalShifter I will be in Fresno this weekend, taking a bunch of Church books with me, got a few friends that want to buy one, if you know anyone that wants one in Fresno let me know...
Shots from Chandler, IN; Sturgis, KY; and Terre Haute, IN
Is that Bruce Larson's crash at Motorplex in 1990? If so, I was there and it was like an exploding grenade, you could feel the pressure waves. Scaring, but he was A-OK
A nice wheelstanding Chevy
Big Daddy will never forget........nor will we.

What a drag!
That's an ugly bang, scary to be as close as you were. I was at an NHRA race in Virginia a few years ago, and a Top fueler kaboomed on the startline just in front of me. There was a stir behind me a few levels up and when I turned I saw a guy with a big bolt in his head. This was shut down by NHRA, as the guy died. Then they lowered the nitro percentage.
Man, what a thread.
Puddin, you wouldn't happen to like 55 Chebby gassers would you??
They're OK I suppose...
MORE! MORE! MORE!
What an awesome thread!
How did they do the fire burnouts back in the day?
I just love dragracing, that's what is all about to me. WIsh I was 20 years younger, then I'd get a job for a drag race team in U.S anytime. That's my life.
Back when they started it was believed that you had to Smoke em thru the traps, if they weren't smokin' you didn't have enough power.
Thanks for the Pic's.
