Wow lots of nice cars. Pro-48 I have watched your car from the start and it is looking badass for sure. I really like the suede black and goldish one is nice also. The top color looks almost butterscotch.

Hey POR 48 how did you treat the rear bumper splash pan and rear trunk pan? I had to use the street rods pan to repair the rust & rot. The bumper splash pan now does not completely follow the new shape.

I'm also interest in what you did with the fender extensions/boot scraper area the new replacement ones need some trimming.

Those homemade "stands" have been bothering me since I first saw the photos but I thought I'd mind my own business. Anyway, after reading this thread I just had to link the two together in case there was a young builder looking at them thinking they were OK. Here's about 100 first hand examples of why to use good quality jackstands under your car AND a backup.

These are safer then jack stands been proven to hold up to an amazing amount of weight the way there constructed,
Detroit speed has been using them for years and there great to build on simply because you can view the car at ride height all the time.
nothing wrong with jack stands but there easy to get pushed off point when theres only a small contact pad to say a frame etc. ecs when your all over the car and in and out of it!
Theres been people have the same ? about them check out detroits project site used through out there shop thanks for the concern.:)

This is Dale jrs camaro they built for him.

It looks safe enough to me. They do it with houses all the time

And the average house weight about 1 ton per square foot.

Don't know about years....never saw them in the shop when they were here in town.....perhaps they ran out of real jackstands while they were building JR ride. ;)

All I wanted to do was bring the other thread to folks attention. If you think they are safe enough for you then that fine with me.

What's that Olds bumper look like? Do you own it?

I still need bumpers front/back and glass all around... (plexiglass sucks)

'47 Pontiac parts are hard to find!

In my opinion the Olds bumper is too massive for your Pontiac. It was even too massive for the front of my Olds! lol

'47 Chevy front bumper smoothed would look great. You might have to use two of them to get the right length. We used 3/4 of each of them for Big Olds

I just posted a nice original Ark title for a '48 Chevy 2 door. It would look great mounted on your wall. It still has stapled to it the og registration dated 1959.

You wouldn't happen to have a '47 Oldsmobile convertible one for sale would you? I'd like one for my wall.
