  2. Best I can do is give you a bump. Check out the Aquasco thread on here. May find a stray picture there.

Cheers I found a picture of what I think is the car it's racing 39 Chevy with narrow white walls could it have later become "Jolly Dolly" on the first page of the thread.

This car was a hotrod in the 50's before made into a drag car, lots of nice lead work on the chop and a good finish compared to the drag version, body is blended to the chassis and a molded atennna base. Pic to follow

  6. Look up Hamb Member "Oldracer". He belongs to the S&S racing team out of Northern Virginia and raced every drag strip in the DC area.

Yep, the car is mine, it is also a 331 extended bell hemi, i cheated my front crossmember forward 1-1/2 inches to save from cutting the firewall, at least recessing it that is. it is actually pretty roomy but im sitting flat on the floor

only pics i have of the inside

They removed the cruciform in mine and sunk the seat into a pan. I'm going to use some smaller seats but keep the seat below the chassis line, mines a car lasalle side shift and the hurst on it wants to come out through your right knee!
How do you find the lasalle? Never driven one before

May as well update this, had the car a year not done a great deal but found some things out and bought some parts.
I've almost finished my 41 kustom though so hoping for progress soon

After a lot of measuring of widths and ride heights etc I ordered a winters QC , it basically ended up being stock width ...

But means these should tuck in nicely, found the wheels and tyres separately but they are a match made in heaven !

I started to look for a 6 carb set up with provision for water crossover so I could keep early heads and I was offered a dream set up and a steel of a price, weiand low rise drag star with 6 97's with Scott tops (pretty sure they are re pop but still)

Tried the hood and grill on the car something will have to change as the grill touches the floor

I pulled the motor apart and found some cool stuff and some weird stuff
It has an Isky Hi Rev cam with solid lifters, adjustable pushrods and double valve springs I'd guess all Isky stuff and all in good usable condition, someone on here checked an old catalogue for me it's listed as a 392 cam and appears in the 61/62 Isky catalogue.

The crank and rods where an eye opener
The crank had been ground down .100" I think to stroke it but the conrods where open out as well and as far as I've been told 37 flathead fully floating bearings fitted the machine shop are working out if it's saveable at the moment
