Next a little more push rod - 7/16" this year Nick is making spark plug tube seals now also.

Kim is over there everyday now - they want to paint so bad just to get her to go home supposed to be 70 degrees tomorrow - fingers crossed.

 

EGADS!!! Those are yuuuuuuuuugeeeee! Are they heavier? That is next to an old push rod? How can they need to be that much longer???

 

Will those seal air as well as the bushed rods? I've seen a problem with buying the injection units from the circle track guys when the shafts are all sloppy from use and the idle get's all whacked out due to the additional air at the shafts? I am sure he wouldn't have done this had it been the case, just wondering though. You'll prolly need to close the butterflies a little more

 

That's just a random 5/16" pushrod laying there for reference. I think last year we ran 3/8" and there was some deflection. After floating the valves once, we upped the spring pressure and went TI on the intake valves, then upped the pushrod size since deflection will be more with bigger springs.

Well it was leaking a ton on the front 2 cylinders before the repair so its got to be less than it was. You could put an IR probe on the front 2 headers and see that the A/F was different than the others.

 

We ran up to Quain's shop for a season kick off meeting last night. It was great to see everybody and we had some of the best BBQ you will ever find in the Carolina's - collard green, baked beans, tatter salid, marconi salid - too much to list I saw spy photos of new paint jobs I thought we were stepping up the paint game - but what we are doing is nothing compared to the new things I saw - unless they were all BS fake news photos

Can't wait for the first race, but right now every bolt in the engine and the body is apart
