where can I get a 40's style Model A hot rod 1:18? I saw one today that came with a timing tag. It was way cool. I need one.
Something like this .....this one has a moving violation tag....sorry not for sale...... Sent from my QTASUN1 using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
Yes I haven't washed it yet.... I started on it once ..started with the radiator grill and shell with just warm soapy water and the shell turned black and the chrome started coming off the grill so I stopped.... Sent from my QTASUN1 using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
Yes, it was like that. Had a timing tag same size. It also had a overhead valve banger engine. Any manufacture name?
This should be the info you need...it's a well done car the interior is real leather and engine detail is good the windshield frame got broken on this one so when I put it back together I took a little bit out of it to drop it down... I originally bought this one for my brother ,$42.00 ,about 12 years ago and a few years later I was in his shop and found it under some crap in a corner box was smashed down ,that's how the window frame got broken,so I took it back...... I just need to get it clean again....good luck on your search if I run across one I will let you know..... Sent from my QTASUN1 using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
Highway 61 did those 29 roadsters with a flathead V8 too. The Winfield carbs on the banger are cool. Nicely detailed model.
That model A has some nice detail to it Dean......well after posting that yellow RPU a little while back and finding out about yours I decided to tear it down and see what I could do to get it a little closer to resembling yours...well it just come out of the paint shop....the modifications so far include removing the big ugly hinge they had on the tail gate and made it fit more flush to the bed , modified the hood , changed the tires and wheels shorter fronts and taller rears, still looking for correct wheels..lowered the head light bar, added a blower to the engine...mixed up some yellow and give it a squirt... I have been working from a picture that I found of your truck .....I couldn't get the side aprons louvered ... apparently no one has a press that small.....so anyways it's been fun I will post it when finished....Thanks...
