The Bronco is great, but I like the 57-59 wagon or ranchero rear as they are big brg. and can be drilled to 5.5. They are57.5 inchs wide. I have used 60-64 wagon brakes on these as they are 11X2.5. The 57-59 rear is just a little hard to find.

  4. Harrison I have 700R4 and 3:73 - 80 mph is a little less than 3K - if you have tall tires you'll reduce that some. 3:50s aren't that deep :D

  5. be prepared - if you have to get new bearings pressed on your axles - it ran me about 180 for the bearings and installation on my 8" - try and get the good bearings with the o ring groove on the circumfrence so you don't need the seal that rides the axle at the end of the housing.

I used a 58 Ford truck 9" I payed $100.00 for the rearend, I had it narrowed to 56" Axle flange to axle flange and axles shortened here locally for 325.00

Think Mosar charged 150.00 per axle or so for a new axle if you wanted to go that route. Add a posi unit to it and it makes it around 900.00 and you got yourself a brand new posi-unit perfect for your car.

But i quess the main question you had and what I learned is 56" is the key number. This is axle flange to axle flange,

    Hope this helps
