Detroit Autorama 2012- Who's Going?

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by safari-wagon, Dec 30, 2011.

  1. Sloes is an island of safety...
two blocks away is worse - alot worse in any direction.
You want your car to be where you left it after you eat?
Park at the Cobo Roof, Go to the show, when its time to eat, take a taxi to Sloes and back.
There is other ways to park at sloes be sure the car is there - I just can't talk about them here...

I'll be there for the first time this year. Booked my flight last night ... $137 Round trip!

Curious if you can buy a weekend pass or is it daily admission?

Hopefully we get enough people to do the GM Heritage Tour on Friday.... If you want to go and haven't signed up yet make sure ya do. Anything else a "must see" or "must eat" while I'm up there?

Thanks bud, we sure had fun in that fun huh??;) Who would have thought a car with 188,000 miles on it would be worth stealing.
  5. Me and the old man are bringing a new A coupe on deuce rails...with a chrysler in it that were finishing this weekend... Got some updates to do on the build thread. Also in tow will be "DADDY" Whitney's INDECISION AA/fuel altered.. this is a period correct complete southern california fuel altered from Tognotti's speed shop circa 1966 that was restored and refurbished all by Mike himself. I will also be lurking around the artists section helping with some things and showing off some work with that one guy named Shaw..

See everyone starting on the thursday night.. should be a good time as always!

  6. Nope, you sure didn't and I wear my eyeball pin proudly on on of my favorite jackets and always get compliments from car people and not so car people.

    See you there!

Our annual pilgrimage! Wouldn't miss this for anything! We hit Chicken-in-the-Rough at Palms Chrytal Bar on the trip home. Cool old place.
If we bring a bushel of gears and races from the machine shop, can we trade it for chocolate chip cookies and a hug from Denice? lol

The only prints available are what's on the website in the "posters" section, those are the only ones that have been printed- but I do have four prints that I didn't have last year!

Making the trip out to this show for the first time this year. Bringing a car from the northwestso will be there from Wednesday afternoon thru Monday. Any things to do while at the show or places to see? Planning on going to the Henrey Ford Museum but what else is there to see and good places to eat? Hope to have a fun weekend and meet some HAMBers...Alan

Seriously dude you need to find the thread regarding the GM Heritage Center tour for Friday afternoon. The place is NOT open to the public so this would be a major opportunity thats not to be missed.

There is only one D in Ridler. ;)
