Detroit Autorama 2012- Who's Going?

Hotel is booked and Russ and I (along with our better halves) will be out for the festivities! Best show of the year!

 

Coming again this year. Ready to go.

 

Can't let work get in front of this trip.... Looking forward to it.

Well they are billing it as the 60TH so maybe something to do with the leap year

 

The year 2000 is given value as a year (remember the Y2K thing) ,.. as well as 1953. OK I don't know if your following me,... not even sure if I am following my self. So just to make it clear write 1953, 1954, 1955,... ect. all the way to 2012,.... Count them or number them,... and you have 60.

If you were at the first Autorama in 1953,.. and at the next one in 1954,... there would have been 2 Autoramas,.. although only one year would have passed,.... Does anybody understand me ??????

1953 to 1954,... 1953 is given the value of 1,... (not zero, and 1954 = 1),... , 1954 then would be given the value of 2 ,........ DAAAHHHHH!!!!!!!

Just write all the years down on a piece of paper and count how many there is !,.. If you don't understand what I mean,... this will amaze and astound you !!!!!

I'll be there working the Wizards Products booth all weekend.

 

I'm thinking of booking another tour of the GM Heritage Center for us HAMB folks during the Autorama ( I heard somewhere that this is the 60th, but I'm not real sure ).

I set up the tour last year and it worked out pretty well. The cost would be ten bucks.

Anybody interested??

We need at least 30 folks to get a tour. I'll start another thread for the details.

Just got a letter from the Dead Last C.C. They will have their Valve Cover Racing Track set up for those of you that are into it --------BRING IT !!!!!!

This is a club compitition among the clubs registered in the show. I think it will be a cool attraction.

Let me clear up the 60th thing. When you were born, then a year later you had your first birthday, which was actually your second.
There, that clears it up.
I was always good with figures.

Striped a bunch of trophys today. The small ones are all done. Now I gotta do the big ones. While I was doing that Rog and Tim were welding up the last of em. The Guys outdid themselves this year. Some people are going home with some cool garage art this year.

 

Well it looks like I'm going whether I want to or not. My work has a spot upstairs and told me I'm taking one of my vehicles, problem is its not the wagon (they don't understand cool). Its an off topic car but if you decide to come up and look around look for a Purple, Tubbed, Blown vehicle license UL LUZ. I'll be happy to discuss old cars with ya.
