Delete your old PM's, people!!

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by desertratrodder, Apr 17, 2010.

  1. Just a friendly reminder..I have received 2 pm's lately from guys that have full pm boxes when I go to reply.

I think it helps the board run better..maybe not, but all those PM's stored must hog up bandwidth.

Think of it as spring cleaning, in a way..;)

If the mods can leave this up for a little before moving it, people will see it and follow through.

AND don't forget to delete your PM's SENT as well. They take up space too.

I have a hard time parting with anything! How many is too many? Can I keep 25? or so?

  4. YES!!! Sent and received PMs take up bandwidth!

  5. At one time I had 1-200 PMs dating back several years, I realized they were not going to make me rich;)

    Mine's only 96% full. I still have another 4%. :)

I don't think they take up bandwidth in storage. But they do take up some hard drive space on the server. But, they are just text, so likely not too much relatively speaking.

Still, yes, I should go clean out most of them and will do.
