  6. Good thing about metal is if you mess up you just cut it apart and start over again. Now back to the hunt for more parts.

Hopefully you'll keep it as a sport coupe and not make it into a coupester or wannabee-but-not-even-close-roadster. The sport coupe is one of the nicest bodies Edsel Ford ever designed looks great as either a stocker or rod. Congrats on the start of a great project!

I agree leave it a sport coupe. Here's a chopped one with a nailhead. It is super nice.

I vote keep it as a sport coupe as well, but I would as I've got one! Still, it's your car and your call, good luck with it whatever way you go.

As a bit of encouragement, I started out with a way worse body than yours and I think mine turned out OK.

I agree that they can be built into a bitchin rod by keeping them stock topped but one look at Metalshapes blown small block powered one also confirms one turned into a roadster also works.
The hard top he built for it puts it "over the top" (pun intended).

Hey Wrong Un- I just saw your sport coupe pictured in a UK hot rod magazine. Your car definately has the "right look"!!! Super job!

Not trying to tell you what to do, as I said your car, your choice, it's just that I'm a big fan of the mostly forgotten Model A as you can see from my car. I've no leads on uncut doors, (wrong country anyway!), but if you do go the coupe route you would probably do best to look for for a pair that are really rough at the bottom then use the the tops on what you already have, it would most likely work out cheaper that way. Thinking about it there's probably even someone on here with door tops going spare.

As for roof parts, there are a number of suppliers that offer wood and top kits. A lot of the parts for my top came from Macs, pretty good for the most part. LeBaron Bonney are a good source as well.

    Thanks!
