i've got 2 chevys(52/65)but i would pick the ford out of those 2

Clarify the question, "If ya had to"? if you had to sell which one? or if you were buying which one ?

Tough call. I'm a Bowtie Guy myself but I really like the F1s. I'd say keep the Ford, get some more grill teeth and keep going. Or not.

 

I'm a Chevy guy but I like the earlier ones with the single headlights. So in this case I'd pick the Ford.

 

I'd say Chevy, because the Fords from that era are more common
But, thats a Mercury.
So I'm voting Mercury.

I picked chevy, I saw the poll before the pictures and was just answering an "in general" question, but honestly, If I am choosing between the two trucks shown, I likes em both but would grab the ford first

If it was just between those 2 trucks... I'd have to go with the chevy. Better lines and I love the shape of the cab.

I like them both but if I can only have one, I take the Merc. But I might be a little bias because I grew up being taught ford for trucks and Chevy for cars.
Another option would be get rid of the person that tells you, "you can have only one" and replace that person with both trucks

 

Would go with the Merc. Had a 51 F-1 ford and loved it. Have 54 Chevy now and will love it too, when its finished. Would go Merc, partial to black and chrome, planning same for 54. and its also rare to find a Merc truck.

These two trucks are from 2 different styling eras.
The 58-60 Chevrolet truck has 57-60 Ford trucks beat but the 51-52 & 53-56 Ford trucks beat the Chevrolet 47-55 1st trucks hands down.

 

I'd go with the merc, lift it, throw some candy purple paint on it, 30 inch spinners, and a insane sound system...oh shit wrong forum.

I never liked the 4 headlights in the 58 - 59 Chevy pickups. If the Chevy was a 55 - 56 - 57 ... I would go with the Chevy. More room, and already 12 volts

I drove a 55 Chevy Cameo as my dailey driver for years. Neat old trucks and easy to work on.
