Stewed V-8's come with a Autolite Dizzy; has anyone adapted a Delco without much grief?

I just scrolled down through most of a page listing your posts to figure out that you are probably working on a 56 289 but it sure as hell helps you get information you are looking for if you have the sense to post exactly what engine or what not your are looking for the part for rather than a vague misspelling of the name of the vehicle.

There is a Mallory for a later 289 Studebaker in Speedway's garage sale but chances are it won't fit. If memory serves right the only thing the same on those engines is the displacement. http://www.speedwaymotors.com/Garag...255-289-ZC-Double-Life-Distributor,55587.html

Old Hamb thread with some info and some links you might use http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/threads/need-some-schooling-on-232-289-studebaker-v8s.
