Event Coverage Daryl Starbird Show 2019 - Tulsa, OK

We we are loading up early in the a.m. and headed to Tulsa. Anyone coming to the Starbird Show this weekend? If you get there come down to the lower end and say hello. We will be hanging with Dad's Coupe.

Thanks for the pics. Man that is a big shed! Was this basically a custom show as it appears to be mainly 50's and 60's cars and pickups with not many hot rods? Your Dad's coupe would have been one of only a few.

 

Was planning on going tomorrow, just 40 miles up the road..... Saw it on the news channel.....$25 to get in! Man that’s $100 for me and the wife after driving, eating, trinkets.....Think I’ll stay home. Bad weather anyway.

Nice pics! Thanks for the coverage. Haven't been to a Starbird's show since 1987, in OKC. Nice to see they've got away from all that angel hair and chromed brake drums of the '80s ISCA era!

 

If anyone sees this wild little ride, he is my neighbor. That's where I go to use the lathe, mill, ect. I wasn't impressed by the lower level being mostly in my opinion a waste of good parts. Hope people figure out the difference in low budget and rat rod some day. If you guys get a chance to meet Darryl or Cliff Starbird, they are great. I know them personally. Although Darryl is not doing real great these days. Go meet Gene Winfield also. He is the one that taught Bad Chad to blow bubble tops. I heard Gene tell a guy to send pics of his car and he would tell him where to chop it. That's pretty cool.
