There was a guy posting pictures of the car on Facebook the other day,and it was wearing some really weathered red paint.
The guy had done his homework and was pretty convinced it was the same car.

Damn....I've been looking like crazy on Facebook for those posts,but when it's a big group like that,they turn over so fast,and they're hard to find even the next day.
I posted a request on my fb page for anybody who saw it to contact me,but I'm going to have to start posting on the individual groups now.
The good news is,the car still exists,it was rough but not junk (looked like somebody had begun the job of stripping red paint off),and the guy who had it seemed to have good intentions.
I'm positive it was in the Midwest,but Wisconsin keeps popping into my head.I thought Michigan was in the story at one point too..?

Maybe someone should start another thread with it's last known location in the title. People from the midwest may not open a thread about a California car. Also, any one the looking for information on a '57 from Ill. would get the thread to come up in a Google search, whereas the Yucaipa one wouldn't. Someone has to know what happened to it.
