I was driving my 1950 fleetline to work everyday 80 miles round trip. I ended up selling the car about 3 months ago.
Wonder how many folks just admitted to their insurance company that they are commuting to work with a specialty insurance policy.
I DO!!!! had it over a year and put over 21,000 miles on it. like I say to everybody, "it's too fun not too drive!!!"
54 GMC pickup. Driven almost every day in spring summer and fall as my parts chaser. Work at home so my commute is on foot.
My '55 Bel Air has been my daily driver since Oct. '88. Had it down for a while sometimes on engine changes, etc., but my only other vehicle is my 3/4 ton flatbed that uses twice the gas. Been retired the last 10 yr. so I don't have to put so many miles on it now.
'Work' is play in retirement. Every day either the '29 hot rod, or the '29 peekup. Hauled a motor block to the machine shop last month, haul the trash every week.
I drive my 61 F100 or 63 Falcon most days in the spring, summer, fall when we are in town. I try not to put the top up on the Falcon unless it starts raing while I'm out in it.
that's really weird my daily driver for the last ten years has been my 61 f100 and I just finished my wife's daily driver a 63 ford falcon
I'm retired, but I drive the truck 2-3 times a week. Just about every day this week, as I'm getting it/things ready for the Hot August Nights event up here next week. I take my other none Hamb ride (vette) on the other days, during the summer time.
Nope, but Ricky has the right idea. Search first and you'll see a whole bunch of threads just like this one. A lot with pictures. And it's funny when the newbs get their panties in a bunch about it being pointed out. It's all about supporting the site. Bandwidth is NOT free. So join the Alliance and support the site instead of just being a parasite. And it makes it easier to find stuff when it's located in less places rather than a thousand different threads. And I do drive my 57 Buick everyday year round.
Still working on mine. Son drives his 65' Corvair vert daily at college and my daughter drives her 65' Falcon to High school everyday
Actually right now I'm on shanks mares, but when I'm not I drive my dailey everyday. Does that make any sense?
