Just saw another "I'm too astupid to figure out the cutoff date" thread with everybody bitching or trying to be backhandedly "cute", whining about what is HAMB friendly or not. Can we just make up a date to use FORUM WIDE for the cutoff so these retarded chimps will stop bitching about it? Because, apparently "Pre '65" is too hard for some of these nimrods to figure out. Something painfully specific like "Nothing after May 24th, 1964 at 7:48pm Eastern Standard Time" and post it on the forum header and on every page of every thread so there's zero confusion amongst these unwashed plebeians? Just throwin' it out there. Oh, and can anybody recommend a good opthamologist, because I think I just tore a retina rolling my eyes.
Some cars kept the same body style 64,65,66…. Buick Riviera as a example or the Ford 63 to 66 Econoline or 64,65 Chevelle to name a few. That’s why we have the rules we do. If the body style is the same then we grandfathered in.
Hahaha... I think we're actually talking about two different threads, but yeah. I get it. The whole debate just itches my brain sometimes. That's all.
Iirc late model corvairs are considered hamb allowed even up to 1969, because they are unchanged from 65-69 but i may be incorrect. arent enough on the platform to really worry about them anyway
I think that part of the apparent confusion might be the description @Ryan put below the Antiquated forum: "The Antiquated A forum for the finding, restoration, and saving of pre-65 old shit..." clearly says pre 65 which in my book means 64 and older. Then there are the rules for the site that clearly states: "4. We cover traditional '65 and older American cars only. All other threads will be deleted. We don't cover rat rods, muscle cars, mustangs, or VWs." that tells me that 1965 cars are ok. It is a bit of a head scratcher and confusing....
i think that this topic is not finished, and will never be. might even become a debate til the end of time.
