DAMN IT!!! i missed most of it!!!
Same here! I missed it! Why in the hell do I never know about these shows?
i caught it as they were talking about shitty imports...ill watch tonight
Actually a very interesting hour, covering early customs and hot rods, lowriders, and even tuners. A few blunders in the voice over, but a rare opportunity to see our own JimA (You always seemed, uh, taller in print ) and overall an informative show. Some really nice early video of lakes, drags, and shows, and started with Gene Winfield chopping a Merc. I'll give it two thumbs up as a history lesson.
Will this be on again tomarrow do you think? I am too tired to stay up until 3AM this mourning.
Their website says it will be on again this Saturday at 1pm for those who miss it at 3am this morning.
01:00 PM Modern Marvels: Custom Cars.
For most of us, cars are an ordinary fixture of daily life. But then there are custom cars--literal labors of love. Supercharged hot rods, sublimely sculpted classics, flashy tricked-out lowriders, neon-bright "import tuners"--an eye-popping blend of fine art and mechanical know-how. In this episode, we trace the history, technology, and cultural connections between successive generations who have turned the common car into an American art form. We'll ride with hot rodders and lowriders and visit the speed shops and paint shops where ordinary cars become art.
Taller??? I Thought it made me look a lot thinner than my natural 450lbs- and it made me look like I have hair! That's the best my comb over has looked in decades!!!
You sounded very knowledgeable and professional. And thinner.
How come they don't show it in Canada, I gotta move .....
