Just wanted to share this vid.

Junichi from Paradise Road in Nagoya, Japan sent me this. Totally mind blowing when you put it in's Japan! The effort to acquire, build, maintain and cruise the old American iron over there is unbelievable. Enjoy.....

Glad you guys like it. There's some serious cruising going on.

And yes, we all speak the same language on the HAMB!

Wow, I wonder if traditional hotrods are driven over there? They really seem to have gravitated towards lowriders & customs. Great to see all the cruising. Thanks for the post.

  19. So awesome...although that song was painful.
It can't be easy to own those cars over there, which always makes me wonder...are these kids (?) Japan's ultra-rich?

Kool pics-there is a chopped pearl white '54 Chevy over there that used to be mine.
  23. Loved it! Still blows my mind that American stuff is held in such high regard by the young guys. I watch every one of these U-tube Japanese videos to see if I can spot my old 56 Pontiac that went to Japan in the late 80s..never have seen it. It was painted Porsche India red before being sent over.

  25. To bad that the American cars lost thier individuality that made them so popular in the 30s 40s 50s and 60s. I don't see anyone buying 80s 90s on up US made cars and becoming popular around the world in the future.

great vid, having been to japan many times i can appreciate how expensive and difficult it is to get a ride up and running..BTW that purple buick in the clip was painted by gene winfield..anyone correct me if i am wrong.

Even though that video features mostly Lowriders, there are definitely a lot of traditional Hot Rods and Customs too. I do believe that purple Buick is a Winfield car. There's two brothers that own a company called Wheels Inc. in Nagoya that have a couple of cars built by him.

It's gotta cost some green to own/run those cars over there...I don't know how they do it. I know a lot of guys aren't particularly "rich boys", but the passion they have for these things makes them find ways to pull it off.
